We're going to show you how to get your records clean and keep them clean.
Get an ultrasonic record cleaner
Records need a deep clean whether they're decades old or brand new. Manufacturing artifacts come with new albums and older albums have years of built up contamination.
Always buy new inner sleeves.
Old paper inners are a threat to your records. Buy yourself some new inners and take care of your records.
Do not use sprays or solutions to clean your records.
Sprays and other cleaners don't clean, they push dirt into microscopic grooves and turn dust into caked in build
Always buy new outer sleeves.
Buy a pack of ultra clear outers and give your record collection a spiffy new look.
Invest in a good microfiber towel
Give your records a nice wipe down here and there. Do not use a spray.
Be careful of oils.
Oils are the real problem. Keep your fingers off your records grooves as oils will build up and become an issue in the future.
